Devette L. Green
Devette Green is a licensed Master Cosmetologist, & Master Cosmetology Instructor in Georgia. She has 16 years of experience dealing with various hair types & her clientele is multi-culturally diverse. Devette is a Master Cosmetology Instructor at Augusta Technical College, a Master Cosmetologist at Shear Love Salon, a Platform Artist, Secretary of Palmetto State Barber’s Association Ch. 3 CSRA, 2012 Black Beauty Awards Stylist of the Year, 2013 Ms. Augusta Plus America Queen, and Public Relations Chairperson and Secretary of BEEP (Barbering Enrichment Education Program) for at-risk youth.
Devette has taught classes and worked on stages of various tradeshows including Bronner Bros, Premiere Birmingham, SHB Hair Show, and the Pro Beauty Show. She’s co-taught classes with personal appearance industry’s notables such as Andis Educator Rodrick Samuels and Hair Alive University’s E. Hosea Hicks.
Devette formulated a styling concept named Go Green in 2012 and released two instructional dvds demonstrating the model. Go Green is an innovative approach to recycling timeworn hairstyles into contemporary tresses. Go Green teaches the theory of recovering dated styles via fresh hair cutting techniques & modish color applications. Transforming your clients from drab to fab is made easier by utilizing the simple yet chic concepts of Go Green.
Devette takes pleasure in educating people on the importance of proper hair care via scientific factors of cosmetology. She provides numerous services ranging from facial waxing to hair extensions. Devette’s philosophy is based on the belief that her clients’ & students’ needs are of the utmost importance. Devette firmly believes her success is a result of God’s abundant blessings.
Dorian L. Purnell
Dorian Purnell is a Maryland- based licensed barber and owner of two exclusive barbershops. He has over 20 years experience in the personal appearance industry and has been awarded 1st place in various competitions. Dorian is the creator of the “Legacy” and “The Ambitious Barber” clothing line. He is the founder of Kutting Out Cancer, a newfound yet notable charity organization based in Maryland.
Dorian has shared the stage with world renowned barber Lee Bladez at several Bronner Bros Hair Shows. He has been selected to judge numerous barber battles across the nation, including the esteemed Palmetto State Barber’s Association Battle of the Schools. Dorian was the keynote speaker at the 2013 pinning ceremony for cosmetology and barbering students at Augusta Technical College in Augusta, Georgia. His personal objective is to revitalize the barbering industry and help bring back the pristine respect it once possessed.
Dorian organizes yearly back to school events for his community and volunteers bi-weekly with the young men at the Department of Juvenile Justice. He has a ravenous passion for barbering and strives to improve the personal appearance industry by demonstrating the upmost level of professionalism. Dorian’s future goals include opening up a barber school and becoming one of the industry’s leading pioneers in the realm of barbering.
Lisa Burks
Lisa Burks is a 19 year Natural Hair Care veteran with an Instructor of Cosmetology License. She has a passion for empowering all professionals in the hair care arena through her school, Universal Naturals Philosophy Of Hair Institute located at 4304 Rivers Ave. N. Charleston, SC 29405, to become knowledgable as well as certified in all areas of Natural Hair Care. Beginner, intermediate and advanced Natural Hair Care techniques as well as all levels of Loc maintenance and Loc Restoration are just a class away for all aspiring professionals who wish to take their clients to the next level. Harold Pritchard
Harold Pritchard, a legend in the industry, has been a stylist for over 30 years and fifteen of which as a salon owner. Harold is currently located and conducts business in Hickory, North Carolina. Harold is an international educator introducing the most innovative tools and techniques to cut the latest styles on men and women. He demonstrates the versatile use of clippers, trimmers, and blades to achieve today’s fashionable styles.
Over the past 15 years Harold has performed platform work for a large variety of national and local distributors and manufacturers. Harold’s commitment to Wahl Clipper’s educational program began in 1987 and in years since he has advanced to working as an International Educator and Mentor for the company. Harold Pritchard truly believes in being involved in our industry’s education not only as an instructor, but also as a student. Harold has also had the privilege to become a certified instructor for South Carolina’s State Board “Stylist Continuing Education Program.”
